As Creative Director of Polarity Management I was in charge of everything from the logo, branding, graphic asset creation and templates, to completely rebuilding the website, to marketing and training materials. But all of that paled in contrast to the amount of time and design that went into developing the assessment software. Building the software was going to be the biggest investment in the history of the company. It would introduce several brand new revenue streams, and to the extent that those needed to be factored into the software platform, I was involved in brainstorming the business model as well.

It was clear from the start that there would be an enormous amount of information to keep track of. But our collaboration was complicated by the fact that PMA was a scattered network of associates from all over the country. Over the course of 3 years, almost all of our collaboration took place on the phone and online, and we jumped in early on Google Docs and Basecamp.

But for my own day-to-day business I found myself maximizing Excel as a storage, organization, and planning tool.
