the annual oaks school swap meet
We emptied our closets and garages, simplified our lives, swapped camping + sporting goods + clothes within our community, raffled some great used items, raised $1,500, and donated the remaining goods to a local women’s shelter.
We elected to give $1,000 to a local wolf rescue, to which we then had a field trip. And when the dust settled we had a $500 surplus for green guest speakers and field trips, and to donate reusable water bottles for all incoming kindergarten families.
