your message + my communication design = a stop to climate change

Virtually every facet of modern human life is growing exponentially — from unchecked population and a growth-dependent economy to our per-capita energy use, consumption and waste. But of course on a finite planet, the compounding curves of our expansion are fundamentally unsustainable.

Humans are stumbling into a minefield of global tipping points. The most urgent, disastrous, and irreversible threat is anthropogenic global warming and its fallout, catastrophic climate change. Our species simply can’t afford to drop this ball. Period. And yet even after three decades of red-flag waving by the world’s sharpest climate scientists, the net result of all our human efforts has been virtually negligible.

It’s not that no one is trying: for 20 years almost every nation on Earth has met at the UN’s annual climate conference. Overwhelming majorities of citizens of every nation have called out for solutions. And grassroots organizations like 350.org and countless others work tirelessly to raise awareness and marshall a movement for change. But the speed and momentum of global warming is far outpacing our ambitions to solve it. Every day that we pat ourselves on the back for “going green” we have, in fact, fallen yet farther behind.

Over the past 5 years I have evolved into a deeply passionate climate activist. I am convinced the challenge of climate change eclipses anything humans have ever faced. But I am also confident that humans can still prevent the worst projected outcomes of global warming. We just need to collectively choose to.

time is everything in this fight: we must get the message out — now!

I am dedicating my career to advancing this global message. I am ambitiously seeking clients and design collaborators with similar priorities and vision.

Paraphrasing Bill McKibben of 350.org, “I don’t know if we will win, but I am determined to be part of the fight”.
